I have lost the only key I had for my 98 nsx...any ideas on replacement..
ANYTIME said:That will only get you into the car. It's a 98, which has the immobilizer. You don't have the valet key???
The only way is to have the car towed to the dealer and have a new key programmed.

ANYTIME said:Immobilizer anti-theft system with coded key using an electronic transponder, which occured in 1997 as noted in the FAQ here.
rbirling said:That I understand. I was just surprised that the dealer can't program the key without the car.
ANYTIME said:That would defeat the purpose of the system. Any key cut correctly will work in your car. With the 97+, only programmed keys will start the car. Doors and trunk will still open though. I locked my keys in my trunk at NSXPO and did the dealer/vin thing to gain access.
