Looking to Rent NSX in LA area

Hello fellow NSXers.

My girlfriend wants to get me a weekend rental on an NSX for my birthday. She is doing this because I want to purchase an NSX but have never driven one.

Does anyone know where I may be able to rent an NSX for a day or a weekend? I live in the LA area.

Try the big chain rent-a-car places like Enterprise, Hertz, etc.
Some of them actually have connections to the high-end vehicles for rent. I know they have one at Newport Beach but don't know any details about it. But I found out about them talking to one of the reps at Enterprise.

i would recommend what joel suggested... i have never seen a sportscar rental place here in newport that had an nsx.
if that doesn't work, you might want to try these....

actually.. this does remind me of something though.. i was at tustin acura a couple months ago getting my oil changed when a brand spankin new 2003 nsx pulls up. 2 kids get out and moments later i smell it.... clutch, clutch and more clutch. apparently they rented the car from a service manager at a local acrura dealer that bought the car and couldn't really afford it (hence the renting.) they were out trying to do burnouts and doughnuts with the car and fried the clutch!!! turned out to be about a $2,000 mistake on their part.... and i doubt that nsx will be available for rent from now on. but now that i think about it... call tustin acura and ask for brad in service. see if he knows which dealership they rented the car from. maybe the guy is still hard up for cash and willing to rent the car.

I saw a car rental place off LAX on Century Blvd that rents exotics like NSX, Vetts, Viper. If you were exiting LAX on Century Blvd, this place will be on your right hand side. Cars are displayed in the front you can't miss it.

I don't know how much they charge. If you find out, let us know.

This board is relatively new to me and I'm pleased to see the close knit community that is out there for our NSX's. It's reassuring to me to know this for when I get my NSX and have questions, I will have a great place to turn for answers.

As far as the rental goes. WOW.... this has been a challenging task that I care not to have to undergo again. Between my girlfriend & I we have spent many hours searching. Fortunately we have found a place to rent an NSX.

Seems in our search, which took us to EVERY commercial rental agency in So Cal, we were able to find a place called Beverly Hills Rent a car. Their web site is http://www.bnm.com/bev.htm. They have quoted us $475 for a 1 day rental, but there is a 15% discount coupon on their web site. Unfortunately the car is on a long term rental by a Hollywood filming agency and won't be available for another month or so.

Joel, I did find the place in Newport Beach. It used to be called Specialty sports car rental but it was bought by Beverly hills rent a car, they unfortunately don't have a NSX at their location.

Supregreen, I haven't called Brad at Tustin Acura yet but I plan to soon cause he serviced my Legend recently and I have an oil leek which is causing a mess in my garage.
