Hi guys:

I know this is advertised in our for sale section: http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90177

I'm curious about it. I've had a fairly long vehicle history, but this is my first foray into the NSX (loved them ever since I first saw a red one back in 95 on the corner of Rt. 59 and Fishcreek in Kent, Ohio...I was 10 back then). It's somewhat sad I still remember it :P.

But anyway, in order to get this car, I'd be giving up the pursuit of an E39 M5 and Porsche 996 (who cares, I've owned a 996 anyway).

What do you guys think? I spoke with someone at the dealership, and he is forwarding me a CarFax and some more pictures.

Thanks!

I am not a fan of BMW's or Porsches...

The new lower price seems more reasonable to me. There is a lower mileage Silver/Black for sale on Prime also.

Its going to need a timing belt in April 08 since the service interval is supposed to be 6 years.

Clutch has 45K miles on it now...need to drive it and make sure it doesn't slip. Usually you can tell if you accellerate in a higher gear.

If you really like this car I would ask the seller to let you have a Pre-Purchase inspection done (at your cost of course) at Cerritos Acura and have a compression test done at the same time. Replace the spark plugs while your at it.

Dont put a lot of faith in CarFax. Many wrecked cars show up clean. You need to pay extra attention to the gaps between body panels and look at the inside edges and feel if they are rough. Look for overspray under the car and inside door jambs and compartments.

Good Luck and Welcome!

Thanks bud. Other than the dealership, are there any independent shops qualified to work on the NSX in our area? I'm in Newport Beach/Irvine mostly.

Yup, mileage seems a bit high for me. And seller hasn't sent me the CarFax/pictures yet (not really a good sign, to be perfectly honest). I just drove a 996 Cabriolet at lunch, and while nice, it's kind of meh. It's not as fast as the M5 and doesn't really corner as nicely as my Z4. NSX will just be nice and exotic :).

Take a look at this car located in Fresno. I do not know the seller and it looks like he didn't post much here on prime, but the car is low mileage and the price is killer...just going to need a clutch soon.

I am not sure of Independants in your area. Do a search and I am sure there are threads pertaining to that. I use Greenlight Honda in San Diego.

Keep Looking for an NSX!
