if you know of a place where i can get my brakes done in or around the Danbury CT area, your recommendations would be greatly appreciated....

I dropped the car off at Devan Acura. A lot more expensive than I thought.
101$ an hour....lol A lot more than it would cost me in Montreal. Oh well

If I was just changing out pads any good mechanic could have done it.

I had a relatively good experience with Morande Acura in Berlin. I would go to them for brakes. For anything major though, you are only about an hour from Larry B and you can't go wrong there.
