easy right? Here's the thing.. to avoid the royal PITA of dealing with importing a car to CA I would like to find a CA dealer that has the right car in stock. So Cal preferable to NorCal (I'm in San Diego)

Other condsiderations:

May trade a 2004 Corvette coupe, 1500 miles.
Color is negotiable, except I do not want Red. Blue would be preferred.
Must be 6-speed.

Please PM me if anyone knows of such a car.

Thanks!

No one, huh? Am I REALLY going to have to buy one and deal with the CA DMV?

Don't know if you want a new one or used. There was a used LBB '02 NSX at South Coast Acura at last months OC club meeting. You'd have to call them to find out the details on the car, i.e.: mileage, financing, etc. Good luck on your quest.

To do the special lease, it must be new car, not used.

By the way, it is not that hard to do the DMV, I did my last year

No, it's not hard per se, it's just a pain in the ass. Waiting to get smogged, wait for the DMV VIN inspection/confirmation, wait for a dmv appointment or go in and waste a whole afternoon to register, pay the full sales tax in cash blah blah blah. DAmn I hate the CA DMV. I might just register it in Texas and take my chances.

Bah.

If my memory serves me correctly, these are what you need.

1. smog
2. vehical inspection at DMV regarding CA smog car (it states in the engine bay, they just need to see it)
3. Sales tax are pay per month not all at the same time, so you need a letter from American Honda, and DMV can give you the form.

So 2 trips to DMV (1 to get form for the sales tax and the 2nd for everything else) and 1 to get smog check before the DMV trips.

Well, yeah. Maybe I'm being unresonable, but that's 3 trips too many if it can be avioded :)

I know of a couple new NSX's available
