Looking at getting Headers for my 91....

So the time has come that I finally have enough saved to upgrade my exhaust. I have the comptech exhaust with Catalytic converter delete and test pipes.

I am looking to get rid of the cast iron exhaust manifolds and upgrade to some decent headers. I have a manual transmission

I looking for recommendations. I do not plan on boosting the engine. So this is purely for better sound and few extra hps. I would like something that fits excellent since I will be doing this myself. Cost is always a factor but I will pay for good quality and fittament.
I also don’t have to worry about emissions in Missouri

What I have found...

The DC headers I have were a great addition. They sound great, are fair priced, are carb legal, and fit very well. They don’t give you a huge noticeable feeling in Performance though and I doubt spending another 1k will either, even if that can be argued to death here but 20 hp isn’t very noticeable to me. Results may vary. Also, you just cannot go wrong with CT headers.

What about later OEM? Guaranteed to fit

I have an OBX one and it fits horribly even if they claim it fits perfectly...lots of work and headache for just tubing. i punched my face everyday for this choice. even the gasket sucks.
the only good thing is it is very cheap though, so i bet for a good fitment and i loose

SOS Enduralite and RF Yamamoto headers are arguably the best around from a quality and power gains standpoint.

CT is also good.

DC is good if the expansion tube is replaced because they fail eventually.

Only CT and DC are CARB approved (important in CA)

Went with pride...installing this weekend

I just posted my dyno results from my Comptech header install. I can certainly feel the power difference, but clearly shown in the dyno, I posted, you won't feel it until after the 6K rpm because that's the only place you gain power. The install was easy and the quality was pretty fantastic. It's been a month since your original post. Any updates?

Don't forget KSP :D

No I did not notice anything unusual about it...

Here is the collector on my Pride set from 2013. Looks like they did a bit of smoothing work with a grinding wheel compared to the one Regan linked to. I was up 30 whp between these headers and the Super Ti exhaust.
