Cramer from Mad Money! I was so shocked to see him and I called him Mad mike or something haha, but he was really cool. He was just walking around the NBC store, and I yelled his name and got a pic.

Im going to post some more NYC pics tomorrow.

I can't stand that guy.... although back in 1999/2000, he did pump up one of the stocks I happened to be holding on a popular discussion forum/site, clearstation. That week and the next couple weeks the stock rose from $14 to over $120... I cashed out soon after that

Is he that guy i always see jumpin around on TV about stocks?

It's neat to run into people you don't expect to like that.

He has an investor show on CNBC. I've caught bits it a couple times. Unlike the other 100% of investor shows, his is entertaining and sometimes quite funny and he lays it on the line when it comems to buying or selling a stock.

Think of a manic guy with rolled up sleeves shouting at an audience, pushing sound effect buttons, throwing chairs on a set and generally behaving like a poo-flinging monkey while talking about buying or selling stocks. It's absolutely the most UN-investor like program you will ever see.

Oddly enough, Jim Cramer went from being a journalist writing about investments making like 20K a year to being a hedge fund manager managing 450 million dollars in stocks and taking 20% of the profits made. His personal wealth is like 50-100 million dollars now. Which means he made somewhere between 500 MILLION to 1 BILLION dollars for his clients on a 450 million dollar investment. That's a return over over 100% on their investment with an ANNUAL return rate of 25% or so. Clearly beating the snot out of the market average of 10% return.

It gets better though. He runs stake money he put into a non-profit charity based on his picks and pans from the show. In other words, he took a chunk of money to invest (gamble) with, and all the profits go to the charity.

Hahahahaha....what a coincidence! BOOOOYA!

I really enjoy his stuff. CNBC....Mad Money is his show....you guys should watch it...its hilarious.

The0ne: Thanks for the info. Would've love to see it but... They don't send it here on these channels.

Anyway thanks :)

I was working out at the Regency in NYC and in walked Larry King and got on the treadmill next to me... kind of left me speechless for a bit. I mean, what do you say to the guy... so I gave him a nod and "good morning" and played it cool.

...his head was HUGE in person

Jim Cramer is unwatchable and does a disservice to most investors. He is a pompous ass who conveniently forgets that he contributed quite a bit to the tech bubble that he now rails against. His show is not based on good advice or solid information - it is like a circus act, pure drivel all the way through.

Tell me, how do you determine whether a stock should be bought, held, or sold for a caller within 5 seconds and with no additional information whatsoever? He's an entertainer now, and he sold his soul to be famous. That, and he sweats and spits way too much for this hombre.

I wouldn't invest in anything purely based on what he says during his show, but he does offer some interesting views and investment ideas. It's a good starting point from which you can do research on your own and make a choice from there. He did predict Goog over 400 =)
