For those of you that remember a few months ago i posted an article from Motor magazine (Australian) that was biased towards Porsches.

Today i drove past my nearest Honda dealership and there were a couple of NSX's in the front window; one being a '02 Imola-Orange... looking all very spiffy indeed. When i noticed the rego plate 'RJA-008' though, i nearly jumped out of my skin!!! It's the same NSX from the magazine! (pictured here to refresh your memory :))

Unfortunately, being the Easter W/end, they were closed so i couldn't enquire... if i get time this week i might go check it out for further details.

So what do you guys reckon? It's an ex-demo or someone's owned it for 12mths and couldn't keep up the payments? ;)

...afterthoughts...

This is the first time i've seen an imola orange "in the flesh"... quite an impressive statement it makes too. My only complaint though is it NEEDS sunlight... in the shade it looks kinda dull & brown. :( The rear valance is nice... now i really understand why so many guys change to it. :D

there is an '02 imola orange on ebay right now, i tried to buy this car before i bought my yellow/yellow '02 in january but they wouldn't budge off of $78k.

Don't know where in CA you're located. There's an '03 I-Orange at Steven's Creek Acura in Santa Clara, CA.

Ok I'm buying this baby. Let me know who to write the check out to.

There is an '02 Orange at Brookfield Acura in WI that they have had for over a year. Sounds like they are anxious to part with it.

You'll have to keep being a dreamer coz it's in Australia.
Otherwise, send me a blank cheque and i'll buy it for you. ;) j/k

dont expect these guys to budge on pricing... they will definitely not go lower than MSRP.. that is true with all dealerships on steven's creek... due to high rent cost :(

More likely, it's due to a combination of (a) their fantasy that someone will walk into the showroom and pay what they're asking without shopping around, and (b) greed.

Does that Imola-orange look to be lowered or do you think that the downward force being placed on the car is making it look lowered?

It does look lowered, doesn't it?
Although the car looks like it is descending a steeply angled road, I think it may actually be the camera taken at an angle so it gives the illusion that it is goin downhill. I could be wrong, but if it is descending, then wouldn't the front suspension of the car be more compressed than the rear of the car? From the picture, it looks like it is equally compressed, or even biased towards the rear.
In either case, I think the point was that the car looks wicked with the lowered stance.

The reason it looks lowered is because the side closest to us is heavier, since it is going around a curve.

The car seems to be on flat road, with the camera angle being tilted for dramatic effect. The gravity on the plants in the background is inicative of this.

Yeah those dealerships on Stevens Creek are unbelievable in terms of what they want for their cars.

The photo was taken in the "Dandenong Ranges" outside of Melbourne. It's a unique and very pretty place to drive; emersed in trees and ferns. The roads are narrow and winding (perfect for NSX's cornering) as they lead up to the top of the ranges. So Yawwn is right... it is taken on a slight downhill slope.

I don't think FuryNSX was a previous owner, which means it hasn't been lowered... yet ;)

Brian2by2: That enzo and F-40 look like a steroided NSX LOL... exactly!!! :) I believe the F-40 was around first... i once saw a 1987 F-40 for sale.

sorry guys... still haven't got around to calling them about price/mileage/history of that imola nsx... been too busy posting on prime! :p
