This weekend I installed Kenwood nav and a monitor into a Nav Pod in my car.

I did it all myself.

The nav unit is the G510 and the screen is the LZ-702. The screen does not fit will into the nav pod, so I had to modify the headrest bracket that comes with the screen so that it would fit in the pod. And I had to make a support behind it so that the pod wouldnt fall back. I did not want to modify the pod in any way, and I did not want to use glue. Everthing is installed, solidly, without doing either.

Now maybe Ill be able to find the detour between T3 and T8 at Mosport that Stu keeps taking.

And next your gonna figure out the perfect wax for your whip - it seems a navipod is a non-go-fast mod that exists only as an excuse why your car is heavy and therefore slow around the track, sort of like that wing:wink:

Nice job as any DIY is always a good experience and brings you closer to your loved one. Not sure about the navigation stuff though as you get there faster and spend less time driving:frown:

One would think that someone like yourself would be not wanting to draw any attention to the fact that Ive got a faster videod lap in my heavy comfortable daily driven NSX with full ammenities than you have in your dedicated porshe cup race car that demands engine rebuilds ever 15 track hours. But maybe thats just me.

Nice job Dave! Did you screw down the Nav Pod? Not sure how stable it will be going over corner kerbs at high speed... Be a man and bolt that Nav pod to your dash!

I havent yet. I wanted to make sure that I all the bugs were out before I did. It looks like its all a workin great, so Im going to put the screws to her this weekend.
