I took some local, and one not-so-local, NSXers on a tour of San Francisco today and logged over 150 miles without getting a speck of dust on the rear bumper! The problem is that I don't know if it's because of the 2002 rear valance or (most likely) the new NSXR style CF rear wing. 2002+ and CF rear wing guys, let me know your experiences.

Could this be because of aerodynamics?

I remember a wallpaper photo of the NSX-R..and the air seemingly "flowed" in that area.

Kinda like a leaf blower for your car, haha:D .

Ohhhh I dunno!

I've noticed more dirt and dust on my rear bumper since I put the Tubi exhaust on. Also, my rear quarters get dirty with black tire dust (i assume thats what it is) after only a few miles. Is this pretty much normal?

I have an '03 (same valance) and have dust problems. It must be the wing.;)
I have the same wing + the 2002 lip spoiler replica under it. I still get dust. :(

Must be all that fog in the Bay area weighs down all the dust particles and forces it down out of the air. ;)

hmmm, has anyone seen or done their own NSX windtunnel testing or CFD of flow lines? I used to have access to a windtunnel, it would have been fun to take one of those 1:18 scale models and put it in there with smoke lines.

I always get lots of dust on my rear bumper. I think the low pressure area created by the car moving creates a vortex there which sucks in the dust kicked up by the tires and the particles in the exhaust. Probably the only way to eliminate it is to add vents through the trunk area and taillights. Dust on the bumper is the price of having taillights and room for golf bags.
