Hi all,

My name is Carlos...and NO!!! Unfortunately I don't drive an NSX...

I actually drive an 08' Passat

I've been reading and running around this website for some time...so I figured I'll finally sign up and start to really learn more about the car itself.

I fell in love with the car after buying my "mini" NSX. I owned a 1989 Honda Prelude; which I'm sure many of you know what the idea behind the NSX itself.

I honestly hope to buy one within the next 3-5 years.

I'll give you a brief synopsis on myself:

I'm 21
Entering 4th yr of college
Live in Orlando
Recently sold my Prelude
In love with the NSX

I'm actually curious if any of you track your car(s)??? And why did you go with the NSX vs any of the Fcars, Astons, etc...???

I find it hard to believe that the production of such an exotic car came to a halt...and even harder to believe the production numbers on the WIKI link.

Well now I'm just babbling...

Thanks for reading...

Oh yea: my recently sold baby...

All these young folks must be at work, Carlos. So from an old retired guy, welcome. Good luck with your desire to own an NSX. I have owned my '91 for 12 plus years and will never part with it. I have owned over 100 cars and this is by far the best. I don't track it so I can't address that question.

Welcome, Pimp4, and congratulations on your excellent automotive taste. I would've posted earlier but I was sleepy.

BTW, it's a good thing you're only pimpin' cheese. You don't want to step on the toes of our resident pimp daddy, steveny.

You also have to remember there are othe lurkers that view threads as such, but do not post and/or have not signed up for NSX Prime.

Good luck with your search. During your time, now until you purchase, I suggest searching everytime you have a question or are curious about something. Then if you do not find the answer, ask. You will learn tons and tons of information here and it will save you $ as well as time.

Beware, the NSX seems to be an addiction.

Welcome to the board. My first car was a 89 Prelude 2.0Si. Great car but in no way like a NSX.

I have tracked the NSX once and plan to do so again in the future. It is an amazing and intense learning experience. I think learning to drive on the track is so fundamentally different than driving on the road that it is like learning to drive again. There is a section of the forum dedicated to track talk, located here:

I picked the NSX because it was always my dream to own one. I briefly, but not seriously, considered the F355, Z06, and Porsche 911 prior to purchasing the NSX. In fact, I never even drove a NSX before I purchased it.

Welcome to Prime. I still like the Ludes...Preludes that is. I was thinking of getting the one with the rear wheel steering for my daughter. Maybe it will help her learn to parallel park easier.
You'll find a wide spectrum of owners here, so expect the unexpected.

I don't track my car mainly because my insurance company won't cover me if I screw up and wreck my car. So I am left with spirited drives in the mountains and canyons. There are alot of guys that do track though.

Hi Pimp,

There are plenty of us owners here in O-Town. You'll have to watch the "Florida" section and www.nsxflorida.com for upcoming events. I'll probably be entering the Winter Park Concours Show in November and we have a Holiday get together in December. Come out and see lots of NSX's. I'll let you drive mine too...with me in the car too, that is.

I thank you for the offer...however I try not to drive the cars of others...especially a stick...I'd hate to be in the driver seat when something goes POP...

I've only seen 1 NSX in Orlando and it's always on the same street...around the Bay Hill area where I live...DAMN GOLFERS and their EXPENSIVE CARS...

Now that's a great idea...not to mention it's a good looking car...

However finding a 4ws Prelude is like finding an NSX with less than 10k miles...they're rare.

I was looking around and searching for NSX-R's and the conversion seems to be $$$$$$$...It's amazing how much these cars cost to mod/repair/service. NSX-R seats are everybit of $9,000+.

I was also looking at the color/production numbers and it's crazy to see how many actually entered the US. Congrats to all your lucky owners.

I have so many threads to read...It seems extremely complex and SUPER COSTLY.

Also...I'm stick deciding on if I want the pre2002 model...or +2002 model...

I'm thinking +2002...something about the way the NSX-R looks...you know, the white/black combo!

Also...the "Pimp4Cheddar" name came from forums I was on when I was younger...just stuck with me...

Welcome to Prime. Hope you get your NSX in 3-5 years as planned. What are you studying in college?

I'm studying Finance...

However I have a problem...I'm unsure if I want to go Pre-2001 or not...

I like to look of the flip-up headlights...but there's something about Post-2001...thoughts?
