Does anyone have pictures of the replacement the LMA with the SOS LMA kit? Any longlivity report on the SOS LMA kit?

i hope this helps.

when you get your set of lma's it has instruction how to install. oil everything up drop the washer then slide the lma's in and you're done!

Hope that helps a bit. Don't have any feedback as of yet though.

Thanks for the pics guys!

How long did it take from the point after the cams have been uninstalled but before the rocker arms need to be removed?

It takes like 10min if you have the cams out already... Just remove the rocker shafts and the rockers, and grab a pair of pliers and pull the old LMA's out.

It'll probably take you more time keeping track of the rocker's :P

What about the valve noise, has it been significantly reduced?

Noise? If you're replacing the LMA's due to a bad LMA, then I would presume the valvetrain will sound normal?

The only noise that would typically come from the head(s) is from the valvetrain - a little tapping is normal, very audible/loud tapping could be poor valve lash or a burnt valve. Noise can also come from the injectors - typically a slight ticking sound. A bad LMA will usually be pretty obvious by the noise, especially if you re-did the valve lash and a compression test passed.

All of those noises are RPM dependant as well, meaning the ticking/tapping will speed up (get louder sometimes too) as RPM's go up.

The manual states that the VTEC soleniod should be removed and the valve adjustment screws should be loosened/removed. Correct and all in 10 minutes? :)

Yes, remove the VTEC solenoid(s), only 3 x 10mm bolts :P should take you under 1min.

And no, you don't have to loosen all the valve adjustment nuts (at this time). You're going to do a valve adjustment when you put the cams back in anyways (right?? ).
