I just received word that PIE will shortly begin shipping an adapter to route external audio (from a walkman or mp3 jukebox) directly into the head unit via the CD changer cable. The first generation adapter will not allow the use of both a CD changer and an auxiliary unit. Not a perfect solution but given the choice between a six-disc CD changer or a 60 gig mp3 jukebox, personally I'd have no problem losing the CD changer.

I just ran across this today: the HONCLRX - all the way at the bottom of the page. I am not sure if this is compatible with NSX head unit (I haven't heard back from them yet). They mention M-Bus, so it may be compatible.

Besides interfacing with Clarion CD-changer, the really cool thing is "the HONCLRX features Peripheral’s X Path circuitry that permits the user to add an external audio source to the OEM radio. The X Path input can be used for any auxiliary audio source such as; MP3 players, multimedia systems and other portable devices."

I just got word back from AAMP of America:

Hello Ojas,
Thank you for your inquiry. Our HONCLRX interface should work in your application. The radio in your NSX utilizes the same data code as all Honda/Acura radios.

So... I plan on ordering one of these. After I install, I'll post my findings.

Thank you for this info Ojas! I would be very eager to learn about your experience with this system. I have an DVD/MP3 system in my car, using a RF interface, and I would like to find a better input into my stock Bose head unit. I would be willing to give up my CD changer as well if this works out better. Please respond with your findings on this thread, or email me at [email protected]
Thanks!

Sounds like a cool product. Let us know how it works out.
