Like many others cant find the right NSX(PICS pg 4)

Figured i would formally introduce myself. My name is Ron and have always wanted to purchase an Nsx since they came out. I have owned alot of Hondas and currently have a Berlina S2000 which im planning on keeping. After going back and forth on what year Nsx i should get i decided on a 02+ but if i found a nice 97+ i would buy that. I came very close to purchasing a 99 MCB supercharged that was listed on prime but unfortunately the owner found someone local to buy it that had called a day before me and the owner said it would be easier to sell it to him over me being out of state. Im looking for a LBBP with black interior as my first choice but also like the Berlina like my S2000 but only want black interior. I have been lookng for a few months now but have not found anything. I also noticed that most cars for sale are all in California which will add a lot of expense to bring it to Florida where i live. I have waited this long so hopefully the car i want will come available sooner then later. I have really enjoyed this site so far and have found alot of great information on here. Looking foward to joining the rest of you in ownership soon

Blacknot,

I just purchased a silver NSX from tmbromley in Atlanta. Shipping from Atlanta to California was about $1000. Keep searching! You'll find your car!

Thats very reasonable. Did you do an open trailor? If they did a good job for you i might need the company name. The car you bought seems very clean. I also look foward to seeing the results from the injector upgrade you are looking to do.

You do realize that there was only 32 LBBP/black cars built with a manual?
Good luck with that search. If you are patient for a period of years, one may come up for sale.

It took me a few years to find a white NSX that I wanted. Thinking that I would never find one, I decided to shop for a 911 turbo instead and while I was looking for the 911, I came across the white NSX with tan interior that I ended up buying. I didn't like tan but I figured that eventually, I will replace the tan OEM seats with black Recaros/Sparcos seats anyway.

To be honest with you Ron, I found and bought my car within a month without any trouble, it depends on how much money that you would like to spend on.
This car is in OR. No tax ^_^

That first drive can be a long enjoyable drive. Many others have done the same.

If you ship, Reliable has good cred and they are enclosed

If you know exactly what you want, year, color, etc...
be sure to post in WTB section, sometimes a seller will pick the next owner

If you ever find one you really like, get as much info as you can from the owner, agree to a price, then fly one way & drive it aLLLL the way back like i did, you will enjoy it.
Also, make sure you have an escort/passport Solo S2 or S3 radar (can be picked up at your local craigslist add for around $100-150) with you, it will come in handy in those long straight interstates. You will see what i mean if you consider going that route.

I did see this car and the blue interior is too much for me. Also 75k is more then im looking to spend. Well worth it with those miles but im hoping to find one with a few more miles for less. I would also love to find a Berlina/black. I know those are more comon. I am planning on driving the car home unless its in California. Thats too far and cant take off that much time for work.

well thats what i did for my 2002 flew to Cali had Supersonic pick me up at the airport, got new tires, had lunch then drove 2.5 days back to florida/tampa. saw 2 cops the whole way and that was in Florida pan handle

speed limit in TX is 85 but it takes you atleast a day to cross. cuz the road zig-zags thru so many people's private property but by far the best roads I have ever driven on. perfect pavment. every gallon pumped from the ground 1 dollar goes to the roads. nice set up they have.

but bring some windex when you get to Louisianna your windsheild is smothered in oil crap thats in the air. windex almost doesnt work to clean it. and def the windsheild wiper fluid doesnt do shit, had to pull over at a gas station and work windex into the windsheild cuz it was so oily. and the place smells bad. like mold. got outta there real quick didnt wanna wake up in a swamp marsh and NSX.

when you find one drive it from cali and enjoy it.

I found my second NSX in about a week, if you find one you like make sure you act quick and be prepare to pay the premium.

I check prime and autotrader several times a day. The one I just lost out on I called the 2nd day it was listed. I'm also willing to pay fair market value. The offer I put on the 99 Mcb the owner was happy with. Like I said though since someone called before me he was fair and held the car till the weekend for the guy to come see. I have noticed the good one sell very quickly. If anyone comes across anything please let me know. Thanks in advance

Here is a nice blue NSX for sale with only 12,500 miles. Fresh timing belt and water pump. Bought new from Ft Lauderdale in May 2001. One way tickets for me and my wife and a nice cruise back home. I am almost sure this baby knows its way back to Florida. High price-firm.

I also got lucky. Back in 2000, I decided to start looking. I found a '91 in the color I wanted (black), not in snap ring range, local (about 15 miles from home) and it had just had the TB/WP done and a new clutch installed. It was in the price range I was looking for, so I bought it. Never looked back.

Oh yeah - time spent from beginning my search until the car was in my driveway: THREE DAYS!

Great looking car, love the sound byte on the exhaust. What mod is that?

Is there much purple in that color? Never seen on 'live' only in pics, and all seem to have that sort of purplish hue. Could be the camera.

The color changes according to light. Under certain conditions it has a purplish tint. It draws a lot of attention.
