Has anyone here done it? How much money approx. does it cost?

A friend of mine works at an import shop and the opportunity came up for me to get a low miles NSX for a very low price.. Catch is, it's RHD.

Hey Kremlin,

WHERE ARE YOUR PAPERS!? j/k

Welcome to the board... You may want to talk to Kevin (NemesisX).

He is looking into converting his LHD NSX to RHD for export to Austrailia.

I believe that he has already contacted a few places to get this done and would be able to give you some info on it..

Hell, since you guys both want to convert, maybe you should trade up parts straight across... Either way, welcome and good luck.

how much for that RHD just out of curiousity? What are the specs...?

Thanks for the info. Shipping heavy parts from Australia may be prohibitive, and it's not even for sure that I'd be getting the car yet, though.

You're not going to believe the price. It sounds too good to be true, so I'm going to be thoroughly researching it next time I speak to my friend. Normally he buys the cars, imports them, marks them up a fair bit, and resells them. He's offering to me at his cost. It's $20k US for a '93 Type-R /w 38000 miles.

You should be able to easily resell that car at a handsome profit and buy LHD car of your choice.

The conversion is going to be one heck of a "kit". You are going to have to completely strip the dash area and almost all of the interior, including the wiring harness, steering rack, pedal cluster and the joy of redoing the entire brake system under the bonnet.

You are going to need a complete LHD donor car (minimum full front clip sans bodywork and suspension) in close proximity and a lot of space to put parts in transition. And somebody working on it that extremely detail specific.

You better have a lot of cash and time to see this through... so you have to really want it---it is not going to be cost effective AT ALL, but a LHD genuine Type R is cool.
