This is interesting. I don'tthink clearcorners has the new tailights modded. Anyone have this? I want it.

Oh goodie - let's change out the taillights because we think it might look better that way, and then top it off with the world's ugliest wing.

The LED taillights have been posted here before. Do a search...

Not the 2002+ tailights to my knowledge. I am aware of the other LED tailight thread. Sorry if this is considered a repost. Just wanted to share another version of them. They have some interesting iterations of other cars too.

These are indeed new. I couldn't figure out if they are available or not by folowing the link. My guess is custom one off, same as clear corners.

Harsh... harsh...

While I am not a fan of the aesthetics of that light, I respect the efforts that went into creating such a product. IMO, it may not be as pretty as our creations, but who knows.. maybe its less expensive and doesnt take as much time to fabricate.

Either way, I had never seen that link before and I found it interesting -- thanks for sharing. I actually saw the R34 products on display at last years Tokyo Auto Salon -- again, interesting but I am not a fan of the "dotted" spaced out LED appearance.

Now our Datsun 510 lights, THOSE are nice!!! :-)

ps: We can retrofit the 02+ tail lights as well, but most people tend to prefer the older style tail lights -- they have a more simplistic and cleaner appearance.

I noticed a bit of a design flaw in the light block section on the right side (top picture, right side lens). The array has a "dip" in the rows, i.e., the rows are not straight across. That would drive me nuts.

I've seen those on Japan Yahoo auctions..
US$1000 for the conversion . you send your tailights in..

Mike, what is this mod that you offer?

Thats really an old listing, I dont think we will be developing such a product for the NSX. We were looking into mounting LED rings around the projectors, but I do not think we will be offering such a conversion. This is still up in the air, we havent worked on many NSXes lately .. our site has shifted toward various other applications.

FYI, we should be able to offer a customized headlamp assembly for the 02+ headlamps though. A color-matched or matte-black bezel with a clear lens would look really nice, especially if lit with a dual-function LED assembly that illuminates white and complements the OEM xenon headlamps, and then switches to amber when the signals are activated. It would look similar to the Lexus SC400 we've worked on in the past:

The above headlamp was chrome and just used bulbs, but we converted the ENTIRE headlamp assembly. Matte-black bezels, LED rings around the high beams, projectors, and side lens. Since the SC400 is an older vehicle (like the first gen NSX) we opted to swap the projectors out for DOT-compliant HID-spec projectors. Contrary to many of the flared opinions here, we do not believe in retrofitting halogen-spec projectors with rebased HID-capsules. The proper way to attain HID is to fully convert the entire system over to HID which includes new bulbs, ballasts, and HID-spec projectors.

Here is a link to our color-matched 350Z headlamp assemblies, it will give you an idea as to what to expect if we were to take on the 02+ headlamp conversion. First image is Daytona Blue, second is Silverstone Metallic.. color-matched:
