LED tail and turn signals

You will not get good results with LED bulbs. Many have tried it, but because of the directional nature of LED's, you will not get good light disbursement. A waste of money IMO.

Anyone try these yet?
According to ebay seller these are the newest generation of LED bulbs
available in 1156 and 1157
Red Amber & White.

Side note: I've just been messing with my taillights, and the twin filiment ones are 2057, not 1157. Anyone know if they are exactly the same, or slightly different than 1157?

Has anyone considered having sequential turn signals? what do you guys think?

A 2057 has a lower "low" current & respective light output vs a 1157 (the "high" are identical spec); the 2057 is typically amber colour shell.

I have owned all the led bulbs out there and was very upset at the results. This one you show here is the best possible led bulb you can buy (you show the 18 led one, but there is a 20 led model with 5 on the top) but it is still not exactly as bright or as lens filling as everyone wants, although it is a step in the right direction. It uses super flux led's which are easier to use and slightly brighter then standard 3mm and 5mm leds. But you get a "stripe" effect which is undesirable. The best way to get the look you want is to assemble a panel of led's on a circuit board cut to match the shape of your tail light lens. You can do many cool things with the lights when they are in a panel. One customer of mine wanted his "parking light brightness - low level tail lamp" to be a small square inside the tail lamp, then when the brakes are hit, the rest of the led's lit up the whole lens, hiding the square before. The possibilits are really endless!
