I was filling up the NSX last night and I usually use the automated shut off of the gas pump. When it shut off I noticed some droplets from the rear driver side wheel well (about 2 inches from the wheel). I have never seen that before while filling up the gas tank. I checked to see if the hose was leaking and maybe the gas trickled down the side of the car but it didn't. Has anyone experienced this or know what the hell is going on. It was late at night and I couldn't really check it when I got home.

I have never experienced that. Any chance when full it spit back a small amount of fuel that run down the hose?

No, I checked it and I didn't see anything. I figured if it ran down the hose it would have run down to the botton where the hose curves back up toward the pump so if it was gas the puddle would have been near my feet.

I agree, I just thought when it was nearly full it might have "burped" some fuel back and run down the hose or splashed on the car. Your right you would think some would appear on the ground if that happened.

Be careful...I almost blew up a Sheetz one time with a Mustang GT that had a leaky gas filler gooseneck. Two ladder trucks were dispatched. Static electricity can be bad if that's the problem.

F-Chat had a guy with a 355 (another mid-engine car with gas filler near the exhaust area) that burned down to a crisp due to gasoline dripping on the hot a$$ exhaust. Not a problem to take lightly.
