A group of Vancouver NSXers are organizing a drive for Sunday, July 23rd. The itinerary is a bit of a work in progress, but here is what I am suggesting:
- Hook up somewhere near the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal - there is a large truck pull out between Caulfeild and Altamont on the Upper Levels Hwy #1 east of Horseshoe Bay that will accomodate a lot of cars. We could meet anytime from 7 am to 9 am as far as I am concerned.
- breakfast at the famous gastronomic disaster (aka greasy spoon) '99er Cafe' in beautiful Britannia Beach or, if we want to be a little more civilized, we could motor on to Squamish and have something there
- drive through Whistler, Pemberton and on the famous Duffy Lake Road through to Lillooet
- lunch in Lillooeet
- return via the famous, and now well known (to us), Duffy Lake Road, through Pemberton, Whistler & Squamish. This would get us back into Vancouver by mid-afternoon. Alternatively, and I have not checked the distance but it will be a bit, we could return via the Fraser Canyon and back into Vancouver from the eastern townships. This would get us into Vancouver later in the afternoon.
