LE MANS SEAT-FITTING HIGHLIGHTS FERNANDEZ'S TRIP TO ZYTEK

The first part of Adrian Fernandez's 24 Hours of Le Mans experience came Wednesday when he visited England and Zytek for a seat-fitting in the LMP2 car he will race next month in the 75th running of the world's greatest motor race. It will serve a test for what Fernandez hopes will be an entry for Lowe's Fernandez Racing and Acura in 2008.

"Adrian visited yesterday and spent the whole day in the factory being fitted into the car and discussing the finer points of the Zytek chassis and engine combination," said Zytek team manager Trevor Foster. "Adrian has a very professional approach and we talked a lot about Le Mans and the format of the team. We are looking forward to working with Adrian and the other two drivers toward our target of winning the LMP2 class at Le Mans."

Fernandez will join Japan's Haruki Kurosawa and an as-of-yet unnamed driver in a Zytek 07S/2 prototype that will be entered under the banner of Barazi Epsilon. The team will be managed and engineered by the Zytek staff.

"It's a fantastic race, the most prestigious and famous endurance race in the world," Fernandez said. "To go for the first time is going to be amazing. There is a lot of experience that I have to achieve in a very short period of time. Going with Zytek and Lowe's supporting us in this venture, which hopefully will produce us going in 2008 with Acura and Fernandez Racing, is tremendous. I've been practicing a lot on the simulator to learn the track, which is good."
