Hey guys,
i was just wondering if any of you guys care to share your launching techniques at the drap strip...also, for those of you with a supercharger, what do you guys do differently/if anything? thanks

I personally like to launch softly at 2000~2500rpm, its consistent, fool proof way, play it safe and don't kill the clutch.
Perfect launch is probably 5000rpm or above and slip the clutch off the line with no wheel spin. The best of motoring guys launch at 5k~7k rpm.
Here is my wimpy launch at 2300~2500rpm:
Soft launch, depending on your stop watch, 4.1sec~4.43sec 0~60mph, run starts at 7sec into the video: 0~60mph
When i was at the track I was launching at 6K. Gave some nice wheel spin. Broke my snap ring and decided to have the clutch replaced too. (I did make it home though)
I like seeing the turn signal come on a couple times, probably when you're overwhelmed with driving stuff. Don't you hate it when that happens?

lol:smile: That actually was on purpose, I have a habbit of always using turn signals whenever I make a lane change, even through no one was around, then finally approaching a stop sign and getting ready to turn left.
WOW!! AMAZING.. i got timed it to just under 4 seconds.. maybe my reaction time is .5 =D.. i wish mine was that fast..
i'm running BF Goodrich G-Force tires at 10-15 PSI and i usually just drop the clutch to warm up the tires.. i launched at 4k and get a good 2.0 60 feet.. anything above 4k my tires will slip like crazy.. i haven't done a burnout as a warm up because of clutch/tire reasons i might be able to lauch at 5k and get a 1.8 60 feet time..
if i don't warm up my tires i'll usually do 3k and it'll be fine.. slips a bit sometimes..
