Las Vegas HELP...

A fellow NSX owner has broken down in Las Vegas. I am passing along the need for him. He has a 1991 that has 1997 OEM (16F/17R) Wheels. He broke the right rear wheel. The wheel won't hold air anymore and the crack is propegating deeper in the hoop section of the wheel and is not safe to drive on even if it would hold air.

Would there be anyone in the Las Vegas area that would either have a spare wheel or even one that can be borrowed for a couple days. My friend lives in Los Angeles and could send the wheel back right away.

Pretty much any rear wheel 17" would work. (right preferred if directional tire).

Need Spare

He tried several places in town and had many recommendations from the tire store he was working with (don't know who)

They found one wheel, but it was too narrow and had the wrong offset. It hit the caliper, so that wouldn't work. As a last ditch effort, he called me (near LA) to see if I had any ideas. I jumped on the forums here to see if I could get someone to spot the post in time. I knew it was late, but worth a try.

To get him back to LA, and rather than depend on finding something tomorrow morning, you never know. We opted to use one of my wheels off of my NSX. So he has rented a car and is driving 300miles to my house and taking the wheel back, drive it home then returning my wheel to me early next week.

Oh the things we do for the love of cool cars.. I have been there myself. Never broke a wheel like that though.. Very odd.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will pass it on to him, but he will already have been to my house and returned to Vegas with my wheel. He will need a new wheel at some point however. Still worth a try.
