I would like to thank Peter and Sylvia Mills, Larry Bastanza, DocJohn, Bob Ondrovic and the NE members for their hard work in organizing and running NSXPO 2004. This is my 3rd NSXPO and I can say this has been the best organized event yet. (This is not to say that the other events were lacking but the bar, IMO, has been raised.) From registration through tonight's dinner cruise on Lake Keuka, everything during the social event portion of NSXPO has been well thought out. The food at every meal has been very good. The entertainment for Friday night's dinner was outstanding! DocJohn did a great job picking Nik and the Nice Guys to play for us and keep the crowd dancing. Listening to Brian Redman recall some of his most memorable racing stories following dinner Saturday was a rare opportunity. He was a very gracious guest and took time for pictures and autographs afterwards. A true English gentleman to be sure! I especially liked hearing his perspective while entering a blind left hand corner at Spa in a Porsche 917 long tail doing over 180mph! The only room for improvement could have been the weather for today's concours event. There was a cold drizzle off and on during the morning which made it a little tough for folks to get that perfect look they were going for. It also made it tough to take notes during the judging! My hands are used to Florida temps!

Seriously though, I commend their hard work and the exceptional results those efforts have yielded. Future NSXPO organizers can hope to carry on this tradition of excellence.

Agreed! The whole event has been amazing so far and we haven't even started the track event yet.

I have lived here all my life and I still can not get "use to" the fall/winter weather. Glad to hear you guys are having a good time. There are some pretty good places to eat around here for sure, the Boat Yard being one of them.

Agreed! Also would like to thank the Chicago gang, Ken Sax and all, who graciously made myself and my wife feel at home on Friday night, not knowing a soul. The event was very memorable, informative, and fun!

Our club has great members ,thankyou all for attending!Spread the word.I would love for each xpo to build upon the next!

I would also like to thank the NE NSXPO committee. Everything was first class, well planned and organized. The route of the Poker Run alone was unreal: it included fall colors and a wooden bridge and ended at the Nat'l Soaring Center. Unbelievable!! Peter and Bob made sure the few SoCal attendees were included and a special thanks to Steve Riter for dragging me around in the shotgun seat. To all invovled, including the unknown workers you deserve all of our thanks for a wonderful NSXPO.

:D This was my first and definitely not my last :D
Everything from registration to the last minutes of Track Days was well organized and incredibly fun. Getting to meet so many NSX owners and share stories and tech talk was amazing. The best part of XPO was coming alone and leaving with so many new friends. I especially want to thank the Northeast crew for welcoming me into their family. The friendship and caring that was shown to everyone by everyone was inspiring. There were several times when someone needed assistance with their car and not one but ten people stepped forward to lend a hand. I cannot tell you the impact that these last few days have had on me but I can describe it this way.

It will be weeks until the :D smile :D generated at NSXPO will be worn from my face.

I wanted to thank the organizers and their families. The time spent was worth the effort. You are an amazing group of people and if there is anything I can do to assist in the future please count me in! Bob and Rich your photography is amazing (as always) and you captured the heart and soul of the event. Larry B I don't think you ever got to rest but I did see you turn many a worried expression into a smile after you finished working your magic. Peter and Sylvia, DocJohn, Ken, Don and all the other volunteers you all did an amazing job bringing this event together.

Congratulations and I look forward to seeing you again at other NE events and next year in Phoenix.

I also want to publically thank Chuck Bennett from Zymol. Every time I looked he would be busy taking out scratches from different peoples cars and doling out free advice on every aspect of detailing/touch-up. His poor fingers were ready to fall off, especially when he was doing the "Don't try this at home folks -- I'm going to move the paint" routine! His untiring dedication to the NSX group was incredible, and after seeing HD Cleanse in action, I am ready to go out and buy a vat of this stuff! I just took out some scratches from a friends WRX STI yesterday and he's also ready to go buy this stuff. It's simply amazing! GO ZYMOL!!!

Arshad,

I agree, Chuck (Mr. Zymol) Bennett and Laurie were great. Amanda and I were amazed watching him work on your new leather.

I detailed my car today using some of his techniques, unbelievable!!

It was nice speaking with you, also your car was looking good!

Rich

I have to say it was a group effort, but the long-range planning was as important and the torch bearers for this were Peter and Larry B.the actual on the ground running and sweating was shared but I think it was real strenuous for Larry, and Bob O having to get the tech sessions and vender stuff together on Larry's part and Bob's trying to photograph everthing.plus registration aint easy and the Don was meticulous!Everyone liked the food organized by Ernie R.Sylvia M also had to organize our side trips. :D As a side note Chuck B of Zymol fame is amazing. Not only did he resolve some minor paint rash on my car he went out and bought 3m pollishing compound,touch-up paint, and a liscense plate bracket for me,,gratus,,and all because he is a car guy! :D I hope we contiue to foster a relationship with the nsx club Japan. There were many tender and emotional moments as well as thrills! It is an event not to be missed, and hopefully attendance will continue to rise.

NSXPO was a blast! My thanks to the hard work of Pete, Doc John, Bob O., Larry B, Rich H. and Amanda, the Don. My apologies to anyone I left out, forgive me and accept my sincere thanks and appreciation for a terrific event. What a great time! Thanks for making it possible and so much fun.
It was great meeting the many NSX luminaries (Ken Sax, Basch, Lud, Mark B., Chris , Seth, Shad to name a few) and seeing so many NSX's. I loved waking with it slightly raining at 6:30am and having 4 people washing their cars below my balcony. My kind of people with a shared obsession making it almost seen normal to love a car this much. Wow what a time. THANKS!

NSXPO 2004 was simply unreal!! Great connecting the face and cars to names!! Also, im trying to organize a small meeting/cruise/diner at my dealership on a sunday: pm or post if your interested before the weather gets to cold.... :)

Thank you gentlemen

I enjoyed myself at NSXPO 2004. Though nobody knew my true identity, it was an honor meeting some you and exchanging details. Yes, I know where some of you live. :D It was refreshing not having people constantly calling me Mr.Wolf and asking for my autograph. :D

My only regret was not wearing a tuxedo to the dinner and dance. If I had, I would have walked away with some wives. :D It was a refreshing change in atmosphere going to a dinner and not having shots fired. :D

My gratitude to the organizers and my mistress 'Mandy' for making it such an enjoyable trip. :D

Have a nice day.

Nsxpo 2004 Rocked!

I too want to thank Peter, LarryB, Doc John, Bob A., The Don, Keith and everyone else for their hard work and dedication to making NSXPO 2004 such a success. This was my first NSXPO and it exceeded my expectations in every way - the organization was top-notch, the food was great, the activities were a blast, the scenery was beautiful, and most of all, the people of the NSX Club of America (and Japan!) are simply the greatest group of people anywhere.

I also want to thank my driving instructor, John Vasos of Acura of Brookfield. John is an awesome instructor and gave me an entirely new level of understanding of high-performance driving. He also happens to be great guy. After I blew a coolant hose on turn 9 (yea, that was me) John went above and beyond the call of duty, grabbed a jack, got under my car, and stuck with me until the problem was resolved. Awesome. I also want to thank Randy, the WGI garage tech, for doing such a fine job fixing my car and getting me back on the road in one piece. God bless you Randy.

'Til next year...

I’d like to say thanks to the NSXPO gang too! Although I drove in Sunday evening for the track event, I could tell that everyone was having a great time. The track event was first class and the Glen is a wonderful track! It was fun to see some old faces and was fun to meet some new ones!

There was allot of effort put into this week by the organizers. My wife Glynis and I would like to thank everyone who made it happen. I'm not going to mention names because I don't want to miss anybody. ALL you guys (and girls) did a fantastic job in organizing and running this event. ;)

Same here... the Glen is a fantastic circuit, certainly on my personal "top 5" around. I'd like to thank all my fellow instructors, as well as the wonderful student drivers, event chairs and staff, and the good folks at Trackmasters, for making this a first-class event.

My wife DJ and I had a great time (our cat Genny even got to spectate a bit off the front straight)... my only regret was not catching the rest of NSXPO -- I only came om for the HPDE.

It was great to see both new and old faces, including Tomiyoshi-san and our friends from NSXCJ.

BTW -- DanO - Peter gave me a 'hickney hardware' cap that you had left behind :) I'll get it to you at Gingerman in the spring, unless you need it sooner.

Yes, can't wait till Phoenix.............................. :D

thanks again to everyone........

Guess I'll throw my piece in here too....

Thanks to Peter, John, Ken, and all the NE crew for a simply awesome event... a few points i'd like to make.. only at nsxpo was i able to:

-Work on my car in a parking lot next to a factor-x car.. only to turn around to help another person with his brakes... while at the same time watching SWR grunt with an exhaust AND listen to some rather 'interesting' yet classic tunes in the back ground..

-Befriend people I just met... and actually care...

-Know the truth about Ken Sax's driving experiences.. :p

-Listen to Brian and his rather 'interesting' sense of humor

-Get SOOOO much help from someone I've only met a few times before at another track... Mark B.. I would like to say thanks again for letting me use all 4 of your rims and tires.... My inner seem on my tires faded more than I thought they would and Mark openly volunteered to let me use his... I can't even began to say how grateful I am for that... I hope your car gets fixed promptly from that dumb truck guy.

-Thanks to Daria (hope I spelled that right) for the exhaust hanger wrap... stopped making that incessant *clunk* :D

-Find a reason to spend more money on my car....

-Get more tips to making things faster while working on my car...

-Gain closer friendships..

--- as u can see this list can go on and on... but seriously..i had a blast... John.. you were right.. near the end of the day was a REALLY awesome time to drive Watkins Glen... it almost seemed different considering the sunlight was right in your face as you went up the Esses..

to all those I met and didn't mention I apologize but I'm just overviewing really fast...

thanks again.. can't wait till next year.

-x-

I want to thank everyone as well for a well planned and exciting nsxpo.

Special thanks to VBNSX for helping me with the brakes and finding the issue with my tires and thanks to Larry G for bringing me a set of the same front tires to get me out of a jam.

It was nice to meet the science of speed crew finally and some of the other key players here on prime.

Although this was my first NSXPO, it won't be my last. I had a good enough time that I will be blocking this timeslot for 2005 and beyond.

To all of the NE crew who had a hand in the preparation and execution of 'XPO 2004, I offer my heartfelt thanks and appreciation.

Thanks for everything and for giving me unforgettable memories.
