Many of you have read the thread about the blue NSX for sale in Seattle. Ever since I saw Lud's car at NSXPO 2000, I have been in love with Monte Carlo blue (beautiful car Lud!). When I saw this one was available at a reasonable price I was very interested. Unfortunately, I live in Phoenix and my schedule didn't allow for any quick trips to Seattle to look at the car. I emailed Chris at Science of Speed at he said he would be happy to check the car out for me even though it was 45 minutes away from him. I barely know Chris, having only met him briefly at NSXPO 2001, yet he took several hours out of his valuable free time to drive into Seattle, examine the car and report back to me. He even offered to drive it part of the way back to Phoenix. Because of his gesture, I now own this beautiful car. I have offered, several times, to pay Chris for what he has done but he refuses to accept any payment.

I just wanted to say "Thank You Chris" and let everyone know that he and people like him is why this is such a great community. I can promise that when it comes time for aftermarket parts, he will be my first contact. Thanks again.

Congrats on the car, Jim! I think you got a heck of a bargain. Let us know how you like it compared with your black '96.

Great job, Chris!

Hi Jim --

It really was no problem. I'll admit I was kind of looking forward to it since I've been with out my NSX so long :-(

It was just my way of repaying back the favor for another person in the NSX community (Barnman) who took a lot of time out of his schedule to inspect a car for me.

Chris: If we get a sunny afternoon anytime soon (yeah, right, this is january in seattle), you could take my car for a spin. I'd actually like to hear your feedback on my suspension versus the Tein RAs. Plus I can bombard you with all kinds of questions about steering wheels, brakes, body kits, seats, and whatever else comes to mind. =)

78 and sunny today in Phoenix.

Anyone want to buy a 96 black targa?

Just browsing around and I found this old thread today. I bought the car from Jim back in Feb this year.

It was 84 here and partly cloudy, very nice cruising weather. Going to the coast this Saturday before the weather gets too cool. Maybe I'll see one of you there.
