Proto Spirra - powered by a turbo 2.0L I4, 3.0L V6, or 4.6L V8 (from Ford Mustang GT). It's mid-engine, has carbon fiber body panels, and is available with 6-speed sequential transmission. Weight is around 2200 lbs. It looks very much like a Korean-ified NSX in the front. :D

There are more pictures on the official Proto Motors site.

The design has bits from every other car thrown in.
Bits of Lambo, Ferrari 355/360, NSX, Boxster, and strong feeling of a MR2. I think it has too much mix of straight lines and curves. The windscreen and the A pillar is the ugliest I've seen in any sports cars. But looks better than most british equivalent stuff though.

How much?

I like it! The interior is anything but "ergonomic & luxurious" though. Looks fine for track use, but unacceptable for street car.

im 80% sure that this look will age very rapidaly

The Korean's probably made this because somebody loved the NSX, but they just can't bring themselves to importing Japanese cars.

I agree with Joel: design needs a little polishing... the nose more specifically. IMHO.

I see a lot of mustang GT in there too.

Also - what's up with the gap between the hood and the fender?

Frankenstine - your ride has arrived!

I remembered this car was discussed heavily on this forum board during the early summer of '03. Do a search and you may find more threads pertaining to it, even a short vid clip as I recalled. :)

besides the engine,

it uses porsche powertrain.

the car design was conceived by a car designer having studied the subject for 15 years in Italy....so it certainly has an italian influence.

0 to 60 time is about 4.7 sec for the last engine option.

if u go to http://www.protomotors.com theres a video.
