Man, what an awesome taped brake light mod! I mean tape has got to weigh a lot less than plastic right? Think of the weight savings, you could probably save a whole pound with that huge NSX brakelight. :biggrin:

You know, maybe I have just forgotten about similar cars, but when I was younger (15 years ago) and just getting seriously into cars, it seemed that the trend was hot, clean, cars. Sometimes the wheels or some item was not to my taste, but I do not remember seeing the shitboxes kids drive these days. It seems that these days, the cars that seem to be prevalent have these items in common:
loudest, most obnoxious (ie. no muffler) exhaust
2 or 3 different wheel styles on same car
lowered, but often unevenly
some or all of car in primer, or with mismatched colors (see Earl's car on "My Name is Earl".
Dirty as Hell
Interior (on the ones I have actually walked by in a parking lot) missing some or all items, and trashed if not
Maybe they are fast as hell, but they look like crap, and I can not see feeling cool riding around in one, nor would I want my daughter to date a guy driving one (she's 3 right now, so no immediate issue with that)
What am I missing here?
