This is a true story; happened to me this morning.

I was with a mate who has a kid aged about 3yrs old. While i was chatting, i was watching his kid play with some toy cars.

One car was a brown 'matchbox' Corvette Z06... I thought to myself, "what's that kid doing playing with a corvette... when he grows up he'll wanna buy a vette." :p

...almost as if he read my mind, the kid opened the back of a much larger plastic garbage-collection truck, put the corvette in the back, and kept playing!!! I couldn't believe it! LOL... What a smart kid!!! :D

BTW; no offense to Corvette owners... hope you can also see the funny side to this story.

kids are fun, arent they.

Has anybody ever seen a matchbox nsx? my son is almost three and has little porsche, lotus esprit, & ferrari. BUT NO NSX:o

pretty funny when our family was over couple weeks back, they were watching him play with the cars and someone asked 'whatcha got there' and he named the cars,CORRECTLY

must be something bout matchbox vettes. he has one of those too, but it is his beater car. literally.

you're right... Matchbox doesn't have anything on their website, however i did uncover these little gems:

Motor Max - NSX-R

(didn't aznSXgirl/scNSXgirl buy one of these a while ago?)

Bandai Honda NSX POLICE

(I wanna join the police force now :D )

But nothing from Matchbox. :(

huckster, you are to be commended for teaching your son the correct names of the cars. Does he also recite the year, model and other technical details of each car too? :D

lets hope by putting the vette in the back of the garbage truck doesn't mean he is looking towards a career in that industry.

If he's not always playing with a garbage truck, its probably ok.

Good point, although I think it's safe to say he'll grow up "normal"... he kept pushing the Garbage Truck along the ground fast - a sign he'll be a sportscar owner for sure someday. :)

yeah. garbage truck racing should be the entry point. If you can drive a garbage truck fast--you are ready.;) If you had one with a front lift, you could 'dispose' of the competition--literally.:D

I don't know on this one. A childhood friend was into garbage.
Wanted to be a garbage man. We teased and teased.
True story: Worth millions from collecting and disposing of others trash. He does all the laughing now. I know the quote was mean as nothing serious. It just made me think about him.
