keyless security/locks

hi everyone
i just recently purchased silver 98" NSX-T, 107#,totally love the car,even though judging from the site here i payed to much,lol but oh well.
my question is,the recent owner said he replaced the key fob batteries in both key fob's,as soon as he did this the keyless fob's no longer work!
the little red LED's light up, but nothing!
is this something that needs resetting? from a dealer?. the book says nothing about the keyless fob's ,and is this just a alarm set/re-set? and no door unlock?
any help would be great,thanks

Has that procedure worked for anyone here? Doesn't seem too scientific. I want to program a secondary remote, but am afraid to screw up the programming on my original...
