Keyless Entry Install

I installed the keyless entry in my 95NSXT and it works. Thanks for the DIY help on this site.

Question. When I unlock the car with the keyless transmitter it automatically locks itself after a few seconds. Is this normal? Can it be overridden so the car does not lock itself?

No. The system will arm itself again. You must open and close the driver side door to prevent it from locking again.

Just another note, use the keyless entry to lock your car. If you lock the car with the door lock and close it, your car IS locked but the system doesn't recognize this. If you try this, you'll have to hit the unlock button on the keyless twice to unlock it. On the first attempt, the system is actually locking itself and then on the second attempt it will unlock. I found this absolutely annoying until I found out why. Now, I always lock the car by remote.
