How about Kenny's Crap Wagon accident???? When are these talented drivers going to learn that the Inferior Racing League is just that.

Idiot Chip G. was on Wind Tunnel last night talking stupid (again) about his response to the accident. He said "Duh well ya know how NASCAR has dem dare roof flaps.....well maybe we at IRL need some sorta tunnel flaps or sumpthin"

I am actually surprised that the ex cart drivers have not been more public about how unsafe it is to race with idiots. They are all talking behind the scenes about how they hate it there, but their paychecks keep their mouths shut to the direct media.

Last off, I wish Kenny a quick recovery I am glad he is going to be ok.

"Inferior Racing League":( I don't disagree with some of the competition in both the IRL & Cart being not as talented as what could be on the track on any given Sunday but that only has to do w/what driver brings the most cash to the table and it goes on in both series.

"Crap Wagon" what the hell statement is that and what did you expect at that speed. His injuries have nothing to do w/design and engineering qualities of his car (IRL). The same things have happened in a many a open wheel series!!!!

It does have everything to do w/Tomas Schekters foolish driving patterns which are well known over the past 2 seasons and the fact that his dad is Jody Schekter of past racing fame which affords him chances to drive where other more deserving drivers should be in his seat. "So whats new w/that"

Tell me where that info comes from so I may read it.

Likewise, he really has quite alot to overcome and it is to bad.

I don't want to ruffle any feathers here but it is an inescapable fact that both the drivers and equipment in the IRL are entirely inferior to CART. An entire season based on circle tracks? No wonder Chip made the (silly) 'safety' flap comparison. They might as well bolt fenders to the cars at the IRL as it will then be a direct clone of NASCAR, which itself is a ridiculous series. Carburators? In this day and age? Even Skodas don't come equiped with those. And finally, if IRL were worth it, why is CART's (soon-to-be) champ likely headed to NASCAR next year instead of IRL? Because if you gotta race in a stupid turn-left only series it may as well be for bigger bucks. And you don't have to worry about the multitudinous accidents that plague both of the circle-track series as much 'cuz your sedan has a full body.

Jimmy Vasser talked of how the ex-CART drivers hated it there in a pre 03 season town hall meeting. PT has voiced his opinion and has said his friends over there hate it. I personally talked to some Mech/Crew members that work for IRL and CART, and they said the IRL engineering is from the stone ages. They hate working on the low-tech crap and also said the drivers hate the cars and the series as well. It is sad that the sponsers cater to the low-tech masses. In motorsports it is "crash it and they will come" A sad but true statement. Not my cup of tea. Give me more SCCA. FIA, BTCC. ALMS, F1, CART, Heck my Great Grandma even turns right when she goes to church...:D
