FYI-Don't know how many here are interested, but I thought I would post. Over the weekend I attended the Kansas 250 and it was even better than last years race. Well its gonna get better. As per an article in the KC Star it appears that the GM of the track will ask ISC that lights be put up in time for next years race to help the fans cope with heat we have seen at both races, even with a full house of 75k. With many of the drivers using a 2nd groove this year w/track temps @ 140 I would suspect the racing is gonna get better. With Honda as an engine supplyier in 03 for the series would anyone in the mid-west be interested in sometype of small event over that race weekend. Would love to see some other cars. Could Honda help get us asphalt parking, their is plenty of un-used parking available ??

Im sorry but did i miss something here ?

I guess I need to make this more clear. It has been very hot @ both IRL races held since the track opened in 2001. The track seats 75k and the house has been full even with temps of 97 on Sunday and over 100 last year W/track temps that are condusive for poor tire wear and blistering. None the less the racing was good and a 2nd groove was being used which allowed for great side by side racing on 15 degree banking. ISC (International Speedway Corp.) is the owner of the track and the GM (General manager) will ask the owners (ISC) to install lighting so races can be held @ night which should allow for greater attendence (added seating) and better racing as a hole when track temps will be lower. This will allow for racing that is seen at Texas. Equal passing in the turns w/o heavy tire wear. BETTER RACING...
