Hey I have opened a talk with some guys at http://www.kansaimotorsports.com/, I'm thinking about picking up a new FD but wanted something different. I got turned onto them because they import and legalize JDM cars. But I haven’t done business with them before and was wondering if anyone on the boards has?

I want another Rx7 but I want a RHD JDM car, just for the flash of it and to help it keep its value.

I solicited info and this is what I got from them.

Hi Nicholas,

Sorry for the delay, we were really busy these couple days. The RX7, they
are average around $13k-$16k for 93, 94 depending on the conditions, 95-98
would be around $17k-$22k.

Prices included shipping from Japan to Seattle, legalize and registration in
WA state. We required 50%-75% deposit before we start importing the vehicle.
Whole process for out of state buyer usually takes around 3 months.

Note: Our supplier recommend the 95+ model due to the condition and mileage
is better, as rotary motor is complicated to maintain.

I have attached some sample pics for you. For more info, feel free to
contact us. Thanks!

bump.. I need to know some info..anyone..

FYI: Kevin is my buddy, and his partner/Mechanic is also a close friend of mine. My car had been fixed by them (Whenever I can't do the stuff DIY ;) ) and in fact, we are going to hit the local track this Wednesday... So... I can tell you it's a legit business. Cars they had been imported and licensed including different versions of TypeR, Silvia, 180sx, skylineR33...etc.

Since you had already talking to Kevin, he would probably know how to deal with the TX law. (which I'm not familiar with). You guys don't smog test there, right? I had refered them to Vampnsx when he's trying to locate a R34, but I knew that it could be a problem in CA, since they can smog test and impound cars whenever, wherever the CHP wants. (R34 is not exempt for smog test, nor it's compatable with OBDII).

Anyway, drop me a PM, or even call me if you need any help. oh and btw, DL-NA1 is the owner of DoLuck dist. and he had a lot of cars being handled by Kansai Motorsports, you may ask him for referal too.

The blue color looks sick, but I'll probably go for the white one with the R bumper or the yellow one with the Mazdaspeed body kit., (The blue and black ones look like USDM model.)

Ferrand.

thanks again for the help, has anyone else done buessness with them?
