k40 vs Escort mounted radar detectors

I have the k40 3000swl radar mounted in my nsx. I've been looking for a similar front/rear mounted detector for my wifes car.

I've been considering the SR1 escort/passport mounted unit. anyone have experience with the SR1 or SR7 by escort?

Got the SR1 in my BMW and my wife's Audi. The NSX has the K40. The K40 seems to be more sensitive as well as specific. If you get the SR1, it doesn't like to be behind a chromed grill. The one in my BMW is in the lower left cooling duct of the air dam.

I agree with Soichiro 100%. i tried them all and kept the V1. you really do get what you paid for.
