Does anyone know if k&n makes an oem style filter that fits the 91 oem air box and part # of the filter K&N.or what the demensions of the oem filter are.I know k&n sells several universal fit filters and would like to test one on my factory intake
best regards david

Yes they do have a drop in filter, I have one in mine. Your intake will have a slight whistle at light throttle with the filter. I forgot the part number but it can be obtained at K&N's website.

Found it!part#33-2713. any h/p increase to speak of?and did your use the sealant they sell to bead around the edges.. well for a good seal that does not allow contaminants to slip around the filter?
thanks dave

Yes you re-use the factory rubber gasget. I do not know what power it gave me. My car dyno's at 237 H.P. and 188 Torque to the wheels. Assuming a 15% drivetrain loss that puts it around 279 to the crank. Or if you use 13% drivetrain loss that puts it around 273 at the crank. Either way, my engine is stock with the K&N filter so I say it works.

Any trouble getting the oem seal off the stock filter without tearing it.it looks pretty hard not soft.looks like you could trash it pretty easy
