Hey guys, my name is Jayson. I'm a photographer from Hawaii, Currently stationed in Portugal. I'm coming back to the USA to visit New York City, June 22-30. Would anyone be interested in Hanging out / Photoshooting? I'm also planning on hosting a meet with S2Ki members (Sunday June 28). I've never been to NYC so I need some help selecting a safe parking lot with a calm environment so police don't hassle. Any input is welcome!

NYC is a big place. You are going to have to pick one of the outer boroughs since Manhattan won't be an option.

In your experience with the area, where would you say is the best to host? My apartment is in Brooklyn, do you know if there have been any successful meets hosted in that area?

In all honesty, I have gone to only one meet within NYC limits and that was a courtesy to a friend who runs the Orchard Beach show each fall with several thousand cars in attendance. Otherwise, I only go to meets/shows in the suburbs.

And that's not me being a "snob" - I grew up in Queens and then lived in Manhattan for many years but I wouldn't bring my NSX into the 5 boroughs "voluntarily" any more. Just too much of a hassle with traffic, pot holes, etc.

If you go just north of the city into Westchester, you'll probably have a lot of people willing to do it. Where in Brooklyn will you be? Having grown up in Brooklyn, my guess is you'll be in one of the newly cool/gentrified areas :wink:

I'll be in between williamsburg and bushwick! Btw I got your message, I'm down to photoshoot! My 1991 nsx is all stock as well lol!

Hey!!! I'm actually going back August 18-September 2. I think Joanna told me about a new Purple NSX on island. I've been talking to Paul, Joanna, Noah, Steve, Ryan, Mikey and a few other NSX owners trying to assemble a get together/cruise. I just need to find someone to drive my nsx while I take photos of everyone LOL! I'll be posting up a Thread in the Hawaii section soon so be on the look out!!!!

An NSX Cruise sounds good. Both Fred and I were thinking about trying to get some NSX's to come out on a cruise before summer is done. Hopefully we can do it while you are back on the Islands.

Hey guys! I'm working on finding a meet up area. I talked to some of the other owners on IG and they said an Around the Island cruise sounds like a good idea. I'll post on our Hawaii thread soon after I get all the details finalized.
