I've been on these forums for a while trying read up and learn more about the NSX. I bought a 95 in the end of August. It was either going to be the new G37 or the NSX since they both were pretty much the same price, the G37 would have been a bit more. I was looking at a 91 before I bought the 95. It had almost 16k miles on it when I bought it.

I have some regrets not buying the 91 for performance sakes, but maybe I'll buy that one in the future. They guy didn't really seem bent on selling it which is part of the reason I didn't buy it. He only had 20k miles on his and it was also red. I just plan on enjoying my NSX-T for now and the extra 100 lbs weight doesn't bother me too much. The removable top is nice, and I can technically say I have a convertible. I'll probably start modding next summer once I've gotten use to the car completely and enjoy it in stock form. I have to save money on the side and research too. Anyone want to suggests absolute first mods? I want to drop her first definately.

I am still in college, going on my last year. I do daily drive her, she is babied and well taken care of. I average about 100 miles per week. I rack on more miles probably when I commute back to my home town every once and a while. I hope to get a beater car this winter, but I'm very particular about buying certain cars so I don't know if that will happen. One winter and a few months, and then she be fully garaged for the rest of her life hopefully. I owned a 90 300ZXTT before I got this. They are very different and very similar at the same time. Definately love the NSX more.

Here are some pic:

Congrats! Any details on how you came to buy this car etc?

Very good looking NSX! Congrats! Seems like a LOT of Z owners step up to NSXs someday... I hope to do the same in a few years! :) Does that really say 15k miles, or am I just seeing things? 15k miles on a 95 is AMAZING if so! Congrats again!
+1
dude, that is some low miles....

Now thats some low miles. Once you lower it, at the same time add 25mm H&R spacers to the stock wheels. It will look much better.

Another ZX to NSX person...there are a lot of us here!
Still in school...COOL!
How much did you pay for that museum piece?

Congrats and welcome :) Another "red" Nsx to add to the list ic. Maybe we should keep a count, 'cuz you "red" guys are really takin' a majority here I think. One day all you red Nsx's get together for a cruise, I can only imagine the sight of that!

Thanks for the comments. Yea, it was almost like destiny with buying this NSX.

I saw it way back in May in Williamsburg, VA on display infront of a body shop. I still had my ZX back then when I saw it and stopped to admire it. It only had 15k miles then too. I really wanted to buy it as there are not many NSX in market in VA, esp with 15k miles. Probably like 3 usually at a time, if even.

Flash forward to August, when I was looking to buy a newer car with less miles. I was originally looking at a 05 G35 at Mercedez Dealer while awaiting the new G37 to hit(time was an issue). They had it for sale for 29K with only 7k miles on it which was a steal for that car. It was a typo in the sales ad, but they had to honor it and they were really trying to sell me the car. Anyways, I stopped by late night to view the G35 alone without the salesman hassle. I then just happen to see a red NSX sitting in the showroom. Pissed that the dealer was closed, I came back the very next day and starting haggling for it.

They were asking 45k for it. A week later after the other NSX deal fell through, I came back to talk price with the salesman again. He pulled it out the showroom and let me take it for a test drive. I was sold and it never entered the showroom again. I payed just about 40K for it after tax and everything. This is still less than a new G37, but I def would rather have the NSX. The Gs are nice, but they are too tall for my taste. There's almost one full foot between the two car's height. I bet that either car would rape me on insurance though as the NSX really shot up my rate.

Another interesting note is that the previous owner traded it in to purchase a 360 Modena (black I believe). He has every record for the N, like 5 sets of keys, car cover in the NSX bag and everthing you can think of. I really enjoy how the 300ZX and NSX have the custom titanium keys. He even bothered to change the timing belt, waterpump, plugs and such in April before he traded it in. So yup, it's a small world after all. I saw it many months before I bought it.

Oh and I plan on getting new rims at the same time of purchasing the springs. Something with 5-7 spokes, deep dish and hopefully no or minimal rivets. Gotta keep it clean. Rivets and mesh rims are too hard to keep clean.

Congrats. Red is the way to go.
My wife insisted on Red/blk and nothing else. Well, she got it.
You are one lucky college student. I was driving a pick-up truck with a blown head gasket, broken spark plug, and...oh...whopping 97 horses back in the day.

Congrats on your purchase!!! Sounds like you got a good head on your shoulders. Yes, I'd definately get a daily driver for the bad weather driving...something cheap like a prelude or integra. It might even help your insurance rates to have multiple vehicle discount and the NSX as a second car.

Enjoy it!

My college car started with a Mazda 626 diesel! 48 hp, I think.
