Just Purchased My Daily Driver.

I just purchased 99 ford explorer for my work and daily driven car.

99 black Ford explorer 2 dr with 122,000 miles but cheap.

Wow, kinda high miles isn't it? How's the MPG? I'm looking for a daily driver myself, but am sticking to cheap, fuel-efficient 4-cylinder sedans.

I just sold my '03 explorer sport. hopefully yours will get better gas mileage than mine did. I got 12-16mpg city. Right now the nsx is my daily until I get another daily.

If Ford still has the 4.0 litre engine, they call them the "4 leakers" becasue they all leak oil. I had two and they leaked the whole time despite Fords attmepts to fix them. Ultimately Ford bought them both back -thank you Ford for standing behind your product 100% at least.

That's so funny! When I worked at a Ford dealership a LONG time ago, we called the Exploders too! And that was before all of the tire issues.

My parents have a 99 Explorer with the V8. They haven't had any mechanical issues with it at all. It has a TON of mileage on it.

I have a 99 Explorer as well. I don't drive it a lot because it's a gas hog, but it's been super reliable so far (knock on wood)!!!
