I made my turn.. guess what.. siren sounded wtf.!? covered up Police car in black pulled me over for

turning on red $50 failure to let pedestian pass $35. arg.. I told him that its yellow when I turn and he said.. no it was red I was right behind you I saw everything..
Then I decided not to argue. cuz I have bad experience in arguing with a cop.

advice; find the drunk people, get them drunk again to recreate the event, have them sign an affadavit stating exactly what you didnt do, and then go to court and explain the veracity of you and the drunks. if you can select a drunk jury that will probably help. a bottle of very expensive scotch sent to the judge's chambers wouldnt hurt either.

its a win-win cause at the very least you'll get some new drinking buddies.

footnote; this works because of the true nature of our judicial/political system, which most people dont really understand. cigars and scotch are the lubricant for the wheels of justice, and 'lawbreakers' are the fuel. If you can get close enough to apply the grease without getting run over then you too could be idemnified.

this sounds more cynical than i felt while writing it, but here it is nonetheless. for some reason im thinking arlo guthrie as i re-read it. i think im gonna go find my alice's restaurant album and figure out how it brainwashed me some 15yrs later. anyone else have this experience????

15 years? Alice's Restaurant was released in 1967. Anyone who claims to remember those times, wasn't there.

Plead not guilty. You have nothing to lose since if you just pay the ticket, you are admitting guilt. First try working a deal with the ADA for a lesser violation, preferably one which will not affect your insurance.

If you end up going to trial, calmly and with great credibility, tell your story to the judge. If you plant a reasonable doubt in his mind as to the officer's version of the facts, you stand a good chance of beating the ticket. In fact, the officer might not even show up, in which case you'll have a very good chance of your ticket being dismissed.

Good luck!
