Grrr... blew a rad hose today. Couldn't get the clamp off to replace the hose because somebody installed it in a very odd position. Off to the dealer on a flatbed again tomorrow!!

:frown:

RUSS made a DIY on how to replace the hoses yourself and I remember there was a trick he mentioned on how to get the hose clamps off that were not facing you or in a tight position.

damn sorry to hear...

On a side note, flatbeds are the best tow type !

Fixed for a hundred bucks, and she's back terrorizing the roads :D
Glad to hear it.

Keep the shiny side up.

if you get a chance check your Dos Amigos big fat coolant hoses for softness, those can go as well as the car ages =o

This has been frustrating for you hasnt it?

The drive back to Canada was awesome. Then the car didnt pass inspection and required ball joints (last week?). Then this hose issue?

You've had the car for less then two weeks; how are you doing?

Anything we can do to keep the love? ;)

Dumb question but does it make a difference on a flatbed which end of the NSX goes in first? Just wondering because the couple times I've had to flatbed my ride, it always went in nose first...just wondering.

Ahahahahahaa...

This? Frustrating? No. Not even close.

My Talon was frustrating. It crankwalked the first day I owned it and cost me $2300 to rebuild the engine, then a week later the Cam Angle sensor went and cost me $900. After that it was just clutches and tires and a turbo and a waterpump...

This was a minor, minor inconvience. It was out of commission for maybe 12 hours. And the parts to bring it into compliance are on order and should be going in soon. :D Then it'll pass inspection.

Sorry to hear about the hose. I just replaced all the hoses and I can tell you it's a job. Some of the clamps were difficult to remove. One clamp on the small hose under the NSX was removed via dremel  . I figure, after 12 years it was time to replace them. I actually had to cut the hoses off. I rate the job as difficult as replacing the timing belt/water pump.
