Just wanted to create my own thread to share with you guys the stages my car goes through. It's a 1995 NSX Targa with 120K miles, clean title and pretty great shape. Looks much better than most cars after 1 year new from the lot.

I bought it about 2 months ago from a great guy that lives in Kingsburg for a decent price. Of course I had to bug him over and over to allow me to pick up same day we made a deal over the phone.

Here it is after I bought it:

Few weeks ago I bought KW V3's, some wheels/tires and spacers and Dreamsports CF spoiler. Here it is after those were put on.

jacked her up and went to work:

Next plans are deciding which sideskirts/ip combo I want. Most likely WW. I also plan on going Turbo or SC route. Either way, I want more power.

Comments are welcomed :)

looks great! I have always loved the red/ black combo.

Imo, would have gone with a spoiler true to the type R air foil with the nice arc to it.

If you are looking for more power, a good set of headers and the muffler of your choice is the place to start. Also high flow cats would probably free up the exhaust flow since im assuming your cats are the 120k mile 17 year old originals. The oem airbox is pretty much the best there is so there is no need to get an intake "upgrade". Also weight reduction can make your car suprisingly faster from all standpoints: cornering, accelerating, stopping, etc.

Having a front lip (chin) spoiler greatly improves the look and low appearance of the car. Also protects the front bumper.

Nice mr2!

Looks good Adrian. I know you're leaning towards a turbo but you can't go wrong with CTSC. Reliable, no smog issues, can be driving anytime, anywhere and everyday if you want.

That last picture is my favorite adrian.... We need to cruise soooooooon!!!! Cant wait for you to go turbo, cuz i know thats the route you're gunna end up going ;)
Definetly man, but i'm heading out for work for several months so we can do a cruise around July.

Thanks Les, I would preffer a CTSC just because its more of a linear power. Turbo's are fun and put out big power but I feel linear is the way to go on a NSX. However, finding a CTSC is kind of a pain. I wish I can find them new (from what I found, they dont make them anymore) and because of that, I might up going on a turbo setup. I know someone local is getting an Angus Turbo kit so I would like to check it out when I see him and then decide.

Car is coming around real nice!! Get that front lip fixed!

Buy it directly from CT Engineering (the parts division formerly known as "Comptech")

Otherwise get the SOS one (which is also made by CT Engineering, just a larger SC, but unfortunately no CARB Exempt status).

If you plan to go Turbo instead, plan to have all the smog stuff worked out ("planned non-operation", Off-road use only, pay off a smog guy, etc). In 2 years you will need to get smogged again and there currently is no turbo kit for the NSX that is CARB Exempt.

I checked out those links but from my research it looks like the love fab and angus kits put way more power route similar prices.

Turbo kits generally do make more power, but they don't have the smog certification... I would probably go that route if I didn't live in SoCal... but since I'm here I plan to go the BATMANs route with the SOS S/C and the CARB stickers from the CT Engineering kit (since they look identical from the outside).

Like I said before, be sure you have a "smog plan" going in before taking the turbo route... Smog related violations (especially if you get pulled over) have the potential to be very extreme in CA (high ticket prices, prison time, vehicle impounding, etc see CA Vehicle Code 27156)

You probably won't run into too much trouble if you're not doing anything else wrong, just be careful.
