Jon Martin is Moving

I was planning to wait until Jon got settled. Since some of you guys already caught wind already I will let you guys know. Starting Jan 2006 Jon Martin will be at Cerritos Acura as Service Manager. He will still be providing the same excellent service as he always does. I will also be going there when he moves. So congratulations on Cerritos Acura landing a guy like Jon. See you guys at Cerritos Acura. :smile:

Unfortunately (I say that because Matt is a quality guy like Jon Martin), it isn't. Matt's family bought the old Downey Acura and they're renaming it Planet Acura (to go along with Honda World... get it)

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I just called South Bay Power Acura to set up a service appointment and was shocked when they told me Jon Martin is no longer with them.

Crazy timing on this because I just closed escrow on my new house...which is just a few miles from South Bay Acura!

The consolation is the drive to Cerritos from Torrance is about the same as it was from Marina Del Rey to Torrance.

Technically, the drive from my new home to Cerritos Acura is a few miles longer than my drive from the Marina one to Power Acura in Torrance (the actual difference in distance is what I would be driving from my new house to Power Acura). Of course, the traffic to Torrance from Marina del Rey is non-existent in the morning...I'm not sure the same will hold true for Cerritos, but, then again, I've never made that drive before.

I have a coupon for my 25k mi service for Power Acura in Torrance...should I just go ahead and use it or make the drive to Cerritos? I'm still living in the Marina home while the new one is being remodeled.

Unfortunately I'd have to agree with Jay. I've never brought my car in, but the few times that I called and inquired about their various services(timing belt, oil change, brake..), I just did not get the feeling they cared or would be able nor capable of treating my car well.

Certainly hope that Jon can shape them up.

You guys don't need to hope, speculate or whatever. Jon will bring them up to par with his standards. I am bringing my car to Cerritos and so are the nsx guys that have been going to Southbay this whole time. Trust me if anything goes wrong Jon will rectify the situation.
