I just returned from Japan after attending the JGTC Race and rooting for the Mobil 1 NSX! This was my first time in Japan and was happy to see the Mobil 1 take third during qualifying and then take first place within the first three laps! (also got myself with a picture with the Mobil 1 and Ralph Firman)
The Arta NSX came in second closely challenged by the Esso Supra, however, third place was all the Esso needed to edge out the Mobil 1 to win the entire JGTC Series. One point separated the first and second place winners!
I also saw NSX Fiesta (wasn't able to join, but saw 250 NSXs)! There were also a number of brand new Type Rs and NSX's sporting JGTC body kits. They did a couple parade laps around sazuka, a few of them punched it along the straights and sounded fantastic!
I took videos and pictures... I'll see if I can post some of them after they are developed.
PS. This race will be available on DVD in January!
