JGTC Parallel Exhaust Alignment...

I just installed the Taitec JGTC parallel exhaust last night. The exhaust tips are not "Square", i.e. the Driver side tailpipe has a larger gap between it and the valance, and it also sticks out a little farther than the passenger side tailpipe. It’s not that bad however I want it perfect. Any ideas on how I can adjust this?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Try moving the exhaust around and adjust how it sits on the hangers until you get it just right.

Hey Jonathan,

It sounds like this is really being influenced by the rest of your exhaust system. Do you have headers or a stock exhaust? If your exhaust system has a "flex" as in stock or DC Sports you may be able to adjust the hangers a bit to get it better, but I doubt perfect. I have RM headers which have no flex, just a slip joint on the flange. I have the Tubi and it is close but not perfect and I cannot "adjust" it any more, except if I lossened the headers from the heads and shifted them around, not sure if it will help though.

Frankly, for me it is just not worth it. I was able to bend the hangers to insure the pipes are not touching the valance, but they are not "perfectly" centered either.

Sorry I don't have a solid fix for you, but maybe you can get close with a hanger adjustment.

I would ask Chris at SoS if he has any recommendations. I know he carries these, and my guess is you may have gotten them from him.

I have stock manifold and cats. I'll loosen the cats and try adjusting the hangers. My real concern is that One piipe is real close to the valance.

thanks,
Jonathan

Hey Jonathan, Bruce here. the hangers sometimes need to be pushed hard to get put in their correct location. this is the first place to look. Stop by the shop and we'll take a look tomorrow? - Please bring the Card!
