I'm using the "real" H emblem from Honda Japan, not those fake ones you see on the rice boy cars but it still doesn't look perfect on the NSX. I noticed that NSX in Japan uses more flat H emblem and it has brighter red color. This emblem is designed specifically for NSX. Does anyone on this board using the emblem? If so, how much do they cost? I know they're pretty expensive.

Was the Acura Logo hard to remove?
Do you also have a H logo on the rear where it normally says Acura?
I really hate that it says Acura all over the car.
Its not that big a deal, but it says Honda
in some places and Acura on others.

BTW, I'm also looking for a RSR exhaust and a reasonalbly cheap and good intake.
Do you know where I can get on in the bay area?

kenji,
Removing the original Acura nose emblem can be a bit of a &$*(#&*@ but with some patience and a steady hand you can pry it off. You'll need to be careful when doing this as it does require a fair amount of force. The OEM piece has two positioning prongs that help to center the piece. They are located in the middle of the underside on the emblem. Surrounding this is a very sticky band of double sided adhesive which takes some real effort to get off. Take your time and you'll have it off without any problems. My car is Brooklands green and looks so much better with the red H on the nose! Good luck.

If they are, it must look funky. The way to go is get your own vinyl H, pry the lens assembly apart, remove the Acura and replace it with the H yourself. It'll take a few hours but it will look much better than having mismatched rear lens cover colors.

I jsut did mine last night. I pulled off the bumper to put in some PIAA's but then after I took off the bumper, I decided not to put them in (bummer) anyone need a set :-)

At any rate: There are also two small round clips that are pressure fit that clip onto the two posts on the back of the emblem. I reused them but you have to have the bumper off for that :-)

Second, it is a little easier to get off the old emblem if you heat up the adhesive.

Third, all that stick crap that is a pain the $&* to get off comes off really easy if you have some kind of polishing agent. No, you don't polish it but you just apply it and let it sit for a few seconds. I used 3M swirl remover, the solvents in the polishing compound loostened up the stickey stuff. Just don't leave it on there forever, god knows what it'll do:-)

Good luck, I love mine.
