(what was i thinking? :(

i've recently taken on some new work for a client and had an accountant at my house working through the financials for me. the accountant is a former co-worker of mine, ~65ish, goes to church every morning before coming over to work on the project.

anyway, so after handing the stuff off to her for the day (and having already put in 5hrs) i decided to take a break and check out prime. what do i spot, but the thread about the car/naked girl located http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64025 ah ha, i think - nothing like checking out the new cars at the show :rolleyes:

so i open up the link and there's the smallest damn pic i've seen in, well... a long time... and with my need for reading glasses, i'm thinking, "gee, looks like a nice car, but it would be better if it were bigger so i could see the headlights." yup, i swear that's what i was thinking, honest. so i right-click over the pic and "save as desktop" and just as i minimized the other pages so i could see the, ahem, car...

my goes-to-church-every-day-of-her-life, former co-worker turns the corner and walked into my office.

i felt like such a "man, you gotta get a life" perv.

she looked at me and said, "so, i'm adding these columns and..." and never even hinted at the pic on my monitor.

yup, i gotta get a life ;)

Doh! Good story Hal. :eek:

Here's mine:

My favorite joke at school was, whenever anyone came into my office and saw me at my desk, I would quickly hide whatever I was doing and say, "Nothing!" It was kinda funny, and my kids all knew it was just a little joke. I'd hide my roll book, or the newspaper, or a letter I was reading and look surprised and say, "Nothing!".

So one day I'm giving a sax student a lesson on breathing and I'm pushing my hand against his stomach, when in walks another one of my students. I go through my bit of acting surprised and pulling my hand to my side and I say, "Nothing!", and the student in my doorway looks at me with that same look that I think you saw from your co-worker...

I said to him (sheepishly), "It wasn't really funny that time, was it?" He said, "No, it was kinda creepy Mr. Crowell."

I rarely do that bit any more. :redface:

jeepers!

yup... not a good thing in today's world.

maybe next time when someone posts a pic like that, they might add, "your iq must be a least in the double digits to view this picture".

<sigh>
