It Finally happened to me..A Dent...

Well...
I came home from work to find my car cover torn and this big cirular crack on my rear bumper. Thought it was vandalism at first..then I thought for a moment, and Im guessing it can be some dumb persons truch who doent know how to reverse and its tail pipe notching it in. I am so mad right now...

Well, will probably call up Autometric Collision over at Pontiac, MI check out quotes. (Unless you NSXers near Detroit got other suggestions, feel free to add in)

So mad I have to spend money on someone who doesnt know how to reverse...

if it makes you feel any better, that has happened to my car before. Which happened 2 times to the previous owner of my car. They were both parking lot accidents, a very small ding, like hitting at 1 mph. One on the rear fender, and the back bumper. And all has been repaired. And looks as good as new. Hopefully it won't happen to me..
I wonder how the previous owner of my car felt when that happened. I would beat the $#@% out of that person.
Well I don't know if this is your daily driver or not, if so, park very far away, I mean VERY far away, from the rest of the cars.
But mine is a crusin car, so I barely park it anywhere..
If you have the money right now, you can go striaght for the body kit

I park far away.. my friends think I'm crazy..

but remember.. parking farther away alone means giving better chance for people to vandalize your car without people's notice around. ( since there is no other cars around )

From your description it sounds like you will need to replace the rear bumper cover (the plastic part that cracked).

Retail on the part is around $950 plus labor and paint, so if you have comprehensive insurance on your car you might want to consider filing a claim. Many people have a zero deductible on their comprehensive claims.

Sorry to hear about the dent. That really sucks. I park wherever and have never had something like that happen to me. I guess I am lucky. some people are so ignorant to hit a car and not leave a note.

lol, I parked my car before, and was thinking about covering it. But my friends tell me, you kno those nosey people, there going to want to uncover it and wah-la! an NSX..
I wish my car cover was camoflauged lol, but people will think it's just odd for someone to car cover it in a parking lot. And they will get so curious, they are going to see whats under it. Also it makes it look like your cocky, thinking your car is so great that people shouldn't see it or something like that.
I swear people think like that and they are the most stupid mother %$#@%#^ in the world.

I've seen Dodge vipers, supras, and even a ferrari parked at different places, or even a mall. Lol but I just had to get close to the Ferrari, but I'm not touching it or anything.

Sorry to hear about your little accident. I was devastated by the door ding I got at our Brunch/Drive, at least another NSX gave it to me (the paintless dent removal guys are remarkable, can't even tell!)! Anyways, I have some friends that own MotorCity Collision in Eastpointe. They did work on my MDX and I saw a '96 993TT that they fixed up after a accident, awesome! Give me a call and I will fix you up with them (412-7175 same area code as yours).
