Is this really the NSX in 2 Fast 2 Furious?

I was surfing Ebay to see what popped up using NSX as the key word in my search. There is an auction that states this is the NSX that was used in the new movie 2 Fast 2 Furious which is the sequel to The Fast & The Furious. What do you guys think? Definitely not what I would have used in a Hollywood motion picture. Maybe it is the color that I just can't get use to. If it was black or red and with some nice aftermarket wheels, then possibly. Any PHOTOSHOP Experts in the house?

I don't surf the forums everyday so I must have missed all the fun. I am surprised that the car is back up for auction on Ebay. Maybe the high bidder woke up from a dream. I would have never did a search for this topic but did look through the first page of the postings and didn't see anything on it. Sorry for reopening a can of worms.

That thing looks like crap! The sad thing is, that is the better looking of the two NSX's in the movie

Hmm..the scoop on top doesn't seem to have any function. As I had imagined it, like Bill's MYNSX, it should direct airflow towards the back of the engine, meaning it should have an extention that pokes through the rear hatch glass. This one just sits on top. Just a Hollywood prop maybe?!

You were offered a spot but not a 'prime' spot so you declined?

Correct me if Im wrong, but that looks like stock looking rims on the car! If you are going to do up aero of the car like that, at least get some wider and larger rims to go with it.

ah Bill, i wish you had accepted... even a glimmer of the MYNSX in the background would have been talked about on NSXprime for months; even years!

(oh MYNSX already is talked about on prime.

)

Instead we gotta hope this piece of crap doesn't get much screentime; let alone be identifiable.

Very funny

I knew if I went back far enough I would find one of you trashing my car before I bought it. At least my car was not the primary focus of your amusement..Check out RyRy 210's first thread and then go to D'Ecosse's photo of my lovely car--u know the one where he firing a cannon and has the shell coming backwards--very nice photo of my car. It's the last post in the thread.

Now you know why I haven't posted any photos.....:D

I took off all the decals but still have an image of them in the very very metallic blue paint. The roof scoop is gone. I still have the hood which is some kind of aftermarket thing and it's not aligned right because the right side hood support bumper cannot be adjusted... I like the huge wing and the polished stock wheels:p And it only cost 23.3 plus taxes plus plus----Hey and who makes the sideskirts on the car

I still have Sparco seats in the car but have bought a complete tan interior for 1k

Yes, the huge wing is still on the car but I am working on getting a stock hood with the thought of then sending it to Dali Racing. Repainting to the stock red would not be easy--it would be easier to correct the new color's deficiencies--besides, I like blue..The only areas missed were the engine compartment, behind the gas filler door and behind the locks--they did take off the door panels, did inside the trunk etc...

Oh yes, that huge wing is adjustable-APR or CPR--can't quite understand the logo of the manufacturer on the ends--I think the skirts and front lip is WW...The front lip is definitely not fiberglass--urethane--black material---they used rivets to attach and did not cover up same--easier to remove I suppose...

It appears that more than one person was trashing - seemed to be the prevalent opinion I'm afraid.
Sorry to be in that company, bit of light-hearted humour (at that point aimed at some anonomous person!)

Anway, to your other questions re body parts - the front is defintely WW, the skirts are definitely NOT - they appear to be GruppeM or more likely I would imagine GruppeM knock-offs (e.g Erebuni - http://www.spoilers.com/ge/acuraNSX.htm)

I have another of the cars from the auction. The front lip, side skirts, and rear spats are WW. The hood was some cheaply made brand. I have the stock hood off mine, primered if you're interested. I put on a CF hood. The wing, well....I pulled that RIGHT off. I like big wings, but a tri level, non color matched wing....just didn't do it for me. :)

I also pulled off the scoops that went down the back window. The stock wheels were put on these cars for the auction, as they sold the big wheels seperately.

In fact, my car now looks COMPLETELY different than it did when I got it from the auction.

I also have pics of the blue one from the auction, and the gold one.

Ahh yes, that's right. The front and back was WW, hence the reason they're both urethane plastic. The side skirts were erebuni, and fiberglass. Also mine is riveted on like the other cars, and the side skirts even have metal tabs riveted between the side skirt and the bottom the car, to prevent any flex or movement.

Great, at least the front lip and rear is WW. You're right my side skirts crumble easily and also have the aluminum straps (they did not paint the underside of the skirts LOL). So you have photos of the blue one? Did you get a brochure at the auction? It shows mine but as a 92 rather than a 93---RyRy 210 or whatever in the earlier post above has a link to an earlier thread where D'Ecosse posted a photo of the blue one--very funny pic. So Computer Whiz how much did it run you for the complete color change--did you do the R&I of all the bumpers, door panels etc yourself and also the engine compartment?
