Is this an unreasonable car wash?

So I'm sure I was thinking the same thing as everyone else except @Old Guy when I saw the forecast:
Up to 5 degrees C today and no snow in the forecast! I should wash my NSX!

(Didn't get a good chance for an end-of-season wash before putting it away for the winter so I was waiting for an opportunity. Oil change and the rest of Winter prep done, & packed away in the humidity-controlled garage again. That was as far as it got down the driveway, as it we get salt on the roads here.)

cold chapped hands, but worth the contentment

It did reach around 5 - 6 C here a couple of days ago; but, that was for about 10 minutes right around 2:00 pm. Temperature starts dropping really quickly after that so it would have to be a quick wash. I am assuming a two bucket wash with hot water from inside because all my outside hose bibbs are drained and shut off?

Academic for me since the cars went into storage mid October. Seemed way too early since this year since we had really warm and dry weather right until the end of November; but, in a place that can get snow in September that is risk management. Do not want to be putting a car into storage wet.

Looks very spiff. Is that white NSX on the lower rocker stock on 2001+ models or something that you added?

Hot sudsy water from indoors and rinse from the hose inside my garage for room-temp water. I was surprised my hands didn't really get that cold with the chamois. I didn't even need my neoprene canoeing gloves. Small sections so I could get my hands back into the hot sudsy and it's a pretty small car.

A previous owner put on the NSX decal. I was planning to pull it but it's kinda grown on me. (& it helps me find my car at NSXPO).

I think it's an eminently reasonable wash. I used to wash the GT-R in the winter after every storm at one of those self-wash places. The wand used heated water and it got all of the grit and mag chloride off the chassis without freezing my hands!

That is dedication! Obvoiusly doesn't help a ton with getting the salt off, but, might be worth looking into a good rinseless wash a la ONR or one of the similar products. I've switched to only using ONR in the winter if I need a wash - much more pleasant environment overall...

OK, joke's over. :) My NSX has always been on a salt-free diet, and was nowhere near the roads you see in the back of the picture for 2 months. She gets put inside my humidity-controlled garage before the first snow flies & doesn't get back on the road until there have been at least 2 strong rains after the last road salt use. I washed her before the end of the season, but not a thorough, end of season wash that I usually do with the oil change etc before putting it away.

I was just waiting for the temperature to be above freezing for an hour to powerwash the driveway in case there was anything on it, roll the NSX out, and give her a good wash, before rolling her right back into the garage & doing the oil change. I just thought it would make an interesting pictures with the 6' snow drifts and try to make myself look a little NSX-bat-crazy. However, the Colorado folks drive around in the winter anyway, so I'm not impressing anyone...
