Is this a reputable car? JH4NA115XNT000398

It's for sale on ebay ( not my first choice as far as buying is concerned) and it's VIN is JH4NA115XNT000398.

The seller is a dealer from Chicago but it looks pretty sketchy. Another thing that concerns me is the "X" in the VIN before the NT. Shouldn't there be a number there? Can someone run a carfax on this vehicle?

I don't know anything about the dealer or this car, but the VIN is a valid one.

The 9th digit of a VIN is the check digit. It can be 0-9 or letter "X", and in this case, "X" is the right value based on the other digits.

No chin spoiler (minor detail)
Also, the passenger side front quarter panel looks to have been repainted. Aside from that, it looks like a nice car.

The rear deck spoiler is high on the passenger side,and the interior has seen its share of the sun fwiw.

Front end has also been repainted (the vertical fins in the mouth should be black and are red - sign of bad paint job). Center console is in bad shape (bubbling). Mounting bolt for the spare is missing. Also, looks like the black plastic undertray is either broken or just missing pins as it is hanging down under the nose.

Also the bumper is misaligned, you can see a large gap between the hood and bumper.

Well after noting the misalignment of certain parts and the suspected repainting of others, do you think this car has been in an accident which has not been otherwise noted? What does the carfax say?

Unless you are going to steal this car, it seems to have too many unknown quantities IMHO to be at the top of your list.

Passanger fender or side looks resprayed, chin spoiler missing, some curbage under front bumper skin. The price needs to go down some for paint work and unknown history IMHO. Interior looks clean, needs updated wheels
