Is the OEM NSX-R wing painted or bare CF?

Dumb question... I've searched all over prime but can't find a straight answer....

Does the OEM Type-R spoiler come painted or is it bare carbon fiber? Just wondering what it was off the show room floor.

It's my understanding the first concept car had exposed cf on several components, while the production nsx-r's had these parts painted (eg hood, spoiler, mirrors, etc.)

Ya, thats what I figured, but I couldn't really tell from the pics.. and some pics showed them bare cf while others 'appeared' to be painted. hehe...

So I assume the cf hood and wing were all painted black from factory? not necessarily body matched?

hood was never painted black -it's body color, but on the proto it was exposed cf

the trunk lid (also CF) is body color

not sure about the wing tho.... i kinda assumed it was exposed, like the proto, but it might be black. duno

hummm... i thought the trunk lid was aluminium as the regular NSX... are you sure is CF??
and the mirrors are the regular plastic ones, only painted black, right??

The wing is painted berlina black, the mirrors are only plastic, I thought they were carbon that's why I ordered them. But back when I got them no one knew I was the first to get them so MJ and I were suprised when they were only the plastic like we have in the US. Do to being a special order item I couldn't return them. If there is anyone in the tristate area interested in the real JDM nsx-r wing, pm me and feel free to come by and take a look. Frank
